Great help in combating insomnia
SONUS COMPLEX is a formula with synergistic substances that provide a progressive, balanced and qualitative restoration of sleep, without altering cognitive functions or causing drowsiness during the day, simultaneously providing a correct level of Serotonin and Melatonin, related to sleep, stability of the CNS (Central Nervous System), and safe hepatobiliary and respiratory function, often linked to sleep disorders, thus offering the ability to fall asleep peacefully and wake up ready to face a new day full of energy, satisfaction and pleasure.

Sleeping is essential for human health. Physical and mental well-being depends on restful and quality sleep, as it allows the restoration of energy expended during the day, cellular repair, and strengthening of the immune system. Sleep needs vary from person to person, with the average for a healthy individual being between seven and eight hours per night. People who sleep less than six hours per night are more at risk of developing diseases. Insomnia becomes concerning when people, after a night of sleep, feel tired, with difficulty concentrating, and when it becomes a concern with endless tossing and turning in bed. Usually, the body can restore its sleep rhythm, and after a few sleepless nights, achieving a restful and restorative sleep is possible.
The causes of insomnia are related to:
- Stress, depression and emotional disorders;
- Alteration of neurotransmitter levels (GABA, Serotonin, Dopamine);
- Low Melatonin levels;
- Altered hormones (excess of adrenaline, and consequently cortisol);
- Organic disorders: obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoarticular conditions;
- Incorrect lifestyle habits (alcohol, coffee, tobacco, heavy meals, electrical devices in the bedroom, light, etc);
- Hepatic and/or respiratory congestion, leading to an inability to fall asleep and achieve a deep and restorative sleep, potentially turning into a vicious cycle.
The duration of sleep is crucial, and there are two recognised types of sleep: REM and non-REM sleep.
The sleep cycle has different stages:
I - Time to fall asleep
II - Light sleep, drowsiness (Theta)
III - Deep sleep (Delta)
IV - REM sleep (Rapid eye movement)
An alteration in the sleep cycle can significantly affect an individual's day-to-day life, including mood, self-esteem, attention and concentration.
Sleep disorders are categorised as:
- Insomnia - difficulties falling asleep or sleep pattern disturbances with a perception of insufficient sleep;
- Narcolepsy - sleep attacks and abnormal REM sleep patterns, making it impossible for a person to avoid falling asleep;
- Hypersomnia - pathological increase of 25% or more in normal sleep time;
- Sleep apnoea syndromes - potentially fatal, as breathing is interrupted during sleep for long periods, causing a lack of oxygen supply to the blood;
- Parasomnias - night terrors, nightmares and sleepwalking.
The pineal gland is essential in the sleep cycle. It is a small, conical organ located approximately in the centre of the brain. It is less than 1 cm in diameter and weighs approximately 0.2 g. The secretion of melatonin by the pineal gland (epiphysis) follows a circadian rhythm, reaching a peak at night and a low during the day. Even blind individuals have this rhythm, specifically indicating that the pineal gland, together with other neurological processes, can replace the specificity of ocular cells. Melatonin loses its potential with ageing, as our neurotransmitters do not produce the same energy from the dose of melatonin they receive.
Supplements with melatonin, such as SONUS COMPLEX, allow for adjusting the biological clock and assisting in sleep by offering deep and restorative sleep, promoting energy and vitality. Therefore, falling asleep easily and getting enough sleep are important factors in maintaining a youthful and healthy appearance.
