This formula contains 5 forms of hyaluronic acid, which helps to provide moisture to various layers of the skin's surface. Hyaluronic acid is a humectant found naturally in the skin, where it binds to water. The forms included are low, medium and high molecular weight molecules, a cross-polymer of HA and hydrolyzed HA.
The formula also contains ceramides to help maintain hydration. Ceramides are lipids (fatty molecules) that are naturally found in the skin and help support the skin barrier to keep the skin protected and moisturized. The ceramides used in this formula are known as sphingolipids.
Pro-vitamin B5 helps to support the formation of the main components of the skin barrier, such as ceramides and fatty acids, which further helps to maintain hydration, keeping the skin moisturized for longer.
